At the art studios I wanted to find ways to teach the students that the art work they do is valuable, important, and worthwhile. Today at the student art show, we kicked off the smART program -where the work (of students who choose to participate) is for sale. Price for every piece is $100 and, when it sells, the artists gets to keep $50 and choose whether to put the other $50 towards paying for their art classes, supporting their favorite charity, or contributing to their college fund.
