When you look at my CLOUD grouping of the catagories that are included in my blog - besides practical and meaningful - I mostly reference details and inspiration - which in many ways, is practical and meaningful.

 

THINK days

With the new year, I organized my work week in a way that gave me a specific day for each of my businesses, a floating day, and a THINK day. I try to spend most weekends with my family.

My THINK day has made all the difference in terms of keeping it all going. Before, I would wake up at 3 in the morning to enjoy some quiet time to think, write, plan, and organize. Now, knowing that every single week, I am going to have at least one day to look at the big picture and think my own thoughts, I am more focused and productive on my other work days.

My friend at HOLLYWOOD HOUSEWIFE asked everyone to create a brag post where we share things we are proud of and do not normally boast about....so here are a few.

My credit score is 806!

My husband and I decided to get married without ever going on a date and we still like each other 15 years later.

I graduated college in three and a half years.

When I graduated college, I moved to NYC -had never been there, did not know anyone there, bought a one way ticket and moved to pursue photography.

I started my craft services company as a way to support my photography and grew it into a successful business.

In the middle of a recession, I bought a business (ART WORKS STUDIO)  and expanded that business by opening a second location.

I gave birth naturally - with no drugs.

I have never tried a single drug in my life.

I make a great coconut cake.

I am pretty practical about most money matters - but here are the things I am always willing to spend money on. Making memories. Having parties. Photography. Making photos for people. Getting art framed. Travel. Gifts for our parents. Making photo books. Boots. Massage. Good food. Friends.

Credibility is built over a long period of time by consistently doing the right thing, always telling the truth, and being a good person.

practical solution

IF you do not use the whole package of something from the freezer - simply cut the instructions from the original box and include it in the ziplock bag and pop it back in the freezer.  Great for keeping the food fresher and practical for a babysitter = or someone else who may want to cook it up - but needs instructions.

 

daisy is at boot camp

Daisy has been at boot camp for two weeks - for intensive training under the loving hands of Manuel . Proud parents, we watched her listen and respond to his words and follow directions. Then we had our training and we all realized that she wants to make us happy and she would rather not have the responsibility of protecting us.

She wants to please us. Due to her history,  her wires are programmed to react rather than trust. I see that changing. Really looking forward to having her home and working with her.

We miss her so much!

fearful that it will all come crashing down and I will lose it

nothing worse than feeling vulnerable and unable to produce work...

tomorrow I will tackle the storage issue with my computer guru (thanks Ali) and hopefully find a better way to sort, keep, file, delete, and back up.
